Gabrielle Moore ARAD RTS


Gabrielle has been dancing since the age of 3.  She started her training on the Central Coast completing her RAD Graded exams.  At 14 years of age she continued her academic studies as a vocationally gifted student and received the Jane Finnie scholarship to study Full-time ballet at Marie Walton Mahon, Newcastle.

Over the next 3 years Gabrielle completed all her major RAD exams receiving distinction in all.  She studied Ballet syllabuses - RAD, Vaganava, Checceti, Khorabuska Character, Pas de Deux, Pointe Work,  Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Dance Nutrition, Pilates/Stretch, Anatomy and Safe Dance.  Gabrielle competed in many competitions, received ballet scholarships, danced in the Central Coast Dance Company and traveled to the USA to dance in 2000.

In her last year of vocational study Gabrielle studied at Ecole Ballet studios in Sydney (with fellow teacher Lauren Cook). During this time she was taught by Kit Lethby (Major RAD Examiner) Lidnsey Elmyn-Brown (RAD Grade examiner) and former Professional dancers Jane Allyn and Ashley Killer.

Gabrielle has been teaching on the Central Coast for over 10 years. She opened Ballet Classique in 2004 in a local church and now has a successful fully equipped studio with over 120 students. She is registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) for receiving distinction on all major exams and holds a RAD Registered Teachers Status (RTS).

She later underwent a 2 year teaching  training program with the RAD (Certificate in dance teaching studies) to become a fully qualified RAD teacher and is qualified to teach worldwide as well as enter children for grade and major examinations. Gabrielle has taught at several schools on the Central Coast and in 2012 became an RAD student mentor.

She is most proud of the success of her students in their examination and eistedfod results and current student Madelyn Miller's acceptance into The Australian Ballet Junior Program.


Linda Ryan

Classic Ballet Teacher

Linda has been dancing since the age of five.  She has studied ballet, pointe, modern and jazz. She completed RAD exams in primary to advanced and also studied British Ballet Organization (BBO).

She continued her full time dance training at Brent Street Performing arts in Sydney.  Linda then pursued her dancing career, performing professionally in Japan. Linda has trained with the stars of "So you think you can dance" Jason Coleman and Matt Lee.

She has competed in a number of competitions in Newcastle and Sydney. Linda started teaching in Sydney before moving to the Central Coast.
She has been teaching Jazz and Ballet at Ballet Classique for over 7 years. During that time, Linda has successfully ran several July exam workshops and sent children for RAD Exams.


Alyssa Shields

Jazz/Contemporary Teacher

Alyssa has been dancing since the age of 6 on the Central Coast. She has been trained in a variety of dance genres including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Hip-Hop and has been teaching since 2012.


As a teacher, Alyssa’s choreography has been well received at eisteddfods with many pleasing results and placings. Alyssa's students have received consistently high results in their tap examinations of the Glenn Wood Tap syllabus. Whilst teaching she has also recently completed a Communication Degree at the University of Newcastle in 2013 majoring in Media Production after undertaking her HSC.


Even as a teacher, Alyssa still loves performing and hopes to continue to grow as a choreographer and dancer. She currently works at two other dance studios on the coast and is very excited to be joining Ballet Classique in 2014.



Kate Bracken

Reception/Accounts/ Costumes

Kate has been managing all accounts and costumes since Ballet Classique commenced. She runs reception and handles all exam/concert costumes, fundraising and general enquiries.
